US Box Office Top 10: 14-16/10

It seems that nothing could punch Real Steel off the top spot this week as it has managed another week at number 1 however there were 2 movies that had given it a good go.

3 films tried there best to make a impact on the chart, going in at number 9 was the Big Year the comedy film with Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson, doing better and going in to the number 3 spot was horror prequel The Thing and finally the movie that nearly hit the peak was another remake in the form of Footloose.

10 – The Lion King 3D – $2.708.000 – $90.452.000

9 – The Big Year – (NE) – $3.325.000

8 – Courageous – $3.400.000 – $21.378.000

7 – 50/50 – $4.315.000 – $24.334.000

6 – Moneyball – $5.500.000 – $57.712.000

5 – Dolphin Tale – $6.345.000 – $58.672.000

4 – The Ides of March – $7.500.000 – $22.154.000

3 – The Thing – (NE) – $8.700.000

2 – Footloose – (NE) – $16.100.000

1 – Real Steel – $16.304.000 – $51.744.000

There are 3 films which will be trying to knock Real Steel of the top spot next week and i think at least 2 of them have a really big chance.

First off we have the outside chance in the form of comedy sequel Johnny English Reborn, then we have The Three Musketeers which i think should get into the top 3 however the movie that i think has the best chance to knock Real Steel of the top spot is Paranormal Activity 3.
