US Box Office Top 10 04-06/11

It wasn’t a strong week for new entries and this shows in the chart as the little kitty cat Puss in Boots could not be knocked off the top spot despite 2 films giving it a good go.

As said above there were only 2 new entries the first one went to Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas which went in at the number 3 spot however it was Tower Heist which tried it’s best to hit the top spot however it failed as it could only manage sencond place.

One thing to note though about the chart is that even though Harold and Kumar latest film could only manage the number 3 spot it did break a record when it comes to 3D and 98% ticket sales for the film was in 3D.

10 – Moneyball – $1.900.000 – $70.300.000

9 – The Ides of March – $2.000.000 – $36.800.000

8 – The Rum Diary – $2.990.000 – $10.400.000

7 – Real Steel – $3.400.000 – $78.800.000

6 – Footloose – $4.550.000 – $44.800.000

5 – In Time – $7.700.000 – $24.200.000

4 – Paranormal Activity – $8.530.000 – $95.300.000

3 – A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas – (NE) – $13.070.000

2 – Tower Heist – (NE) – $25.100.000

1 – Puss In Boots – $33.040.000 – $75.500.000

Like with last week this weeks new releases are not a very strong bunch with only 3 films having the chance to break into the top 10 and 1 of them is on a limited release.

First off the limited release film comes in the form of Darren Lynn Bousman latest horror film 11-11-11, second off and having a better chance on getting into the top 10 is the vomit inducing horrible film fest that is Adam Sandler in Jack + Jill, finally and the movie that i think that has the best chance of getting into the top 5 but will not get to  number 1 is Tarsem Sings latest film Immortals
