US Box Office Top 10 – 02-04/03

Last weeks number 1 film Act of Valor couldn’t hold on to the top spot for more than 1 week due to one of this weeks new entries blowing it out of the water.

There was only 2 new entries in this weeks chart however they have taken over the top 2 spot’s, firstly going in at number 2 is the latest comedy from Todd Philips (The Hangover) Project X however blowing everything out of the water by nearly taking more than every movie in the top 10 combined was Dr Seuss’ The Lorax.

10 – The Artist – $3.900.000 – $37.088.000

9 – Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance – $4.700.000 – $44.881.000

8 – This Means War – $5.625.000 – $41.464.000

7 – The Vow – $6.100.000 – $111.712.000

6 – Journey 2: The Mysterious Island – $6.925.000 – $85.611.000

5 – Tyler Perry’s Good Deeds – $7.000.000 – $25.745.000

4 – Safe House – $7.200.000 – $108.200.000

3 – Act of Valor – $13.700.000 – $45.239.000

2 – Project X – (NE) – $20.775.000

1 – Dr Seuss’ The Lorax – (NE) – $70.700.000

New Releases – 3 films will be trying to get into next weeks chart, first off is comedy/drama A Thousand Words, then we have horror remake The Silent House starring Elizabeth Olsen and finally the movie that we know that will knock Dr Seuss’ off the top spot is John Carter.

  1. The Lorax is cute and funny enough but the moral simplicity of the book gets lost with the zany Hollywood production values. But overall I love the flow of the movie and even my kids love it too so I’m satisfied with that.

  2. it’s not as big over here in the UK so i don’t know how well it will do when it comes out
