US Box Office Top 10: 11-13/05

No matter what heads i there direction nothing can move The Avengers off the top spot as the group of super heroes are at the top of the chart for a second week and it has broken another record by taking the most money in it’s second week of release than any other film.

2 new films graced this weeks chart going in at number 10 spot was comedy/drama Girl in Progress, however it was Tim Burton’s latest film featuring  Johnny Depp, Dark Shadows that was the highest new entry going in at number 2.

10 – Girl in Progress – (NE) – $1.350.000

9 – Chimpanzee – $1.624.000 – $25.586.000

8 – Best Exotic Marigold Hotel – $2.650.000 – $3.723.000

7 – Five-Year Engagement – $3.100.000 – $24.377.000

6 – Pirates: Band of Misfits – $3.200.000 – $23.104.000

5 – The Lucky Ones – $4.055.000 – $53.721.000

4 – The Hunger Games – $4.400.000 – $386.902.000

3 – Think Like a Man – $6.300.000 – $81.917.000

2 – Dark Shadows – (NE) – $28.805.000

1 – The Avengers – $103.163.000 – $373.182.000

New Releases – 3 new films will be trying there best to knock The Avengers off the top spot, first off is extremely dumb, over the top action film Battleship, secondly is comedy film with Sacha Baron Cohen playing the Dictator and finally is romantic comedy What to Expect when Expecting.
