US Box Office Top 10: 18-20/05

Nothing can seem to shake The Avengers off the top of the chart as it has spent it’s 3rd week at number 1 however this week it hasn’t broke a record.

3 new films graced this weeks chart first off going in at number 5 is comedy What to Expect when your Expecting, going in at number 3 is comedy film starring Sacha Baron Cohen in the shape of The Dictator however the highest new entry went to Battleship which hit the number 2 spot but was sunk by The Avengers.

10 – Pirates: Band of Misfits – $1.450.000 – $25.362.000

9 – The Lucky One – $1.765.000 – $56.921.000

8 – Think Like a Man – $2.700.000 – $85.888.000

7 – Hunger Games – $3.000.000 – $391.631.000

6 – Best Exotic Marigold Hotel – $3.250.000 – $8.257.000

5 – What to Expect when your Expecting – (NE) – $10.500.000

4 – Dark Shadows – $12.770.000 – $50.908.000

3 – The Dictator – (NE) – $17.415.000

2 – Battleship – (NE) – $25.300.000

1 – The Avengers – $55.057.000 – $457.078.000

New Releases – 2 new films are out this week first off is horror film Chernobyl Diaries however it’s the return of the Men in Black in there 3rd outing that i think will knock the Avengers off the top spot next week

  1. Another American film that was an international hit, flops in its home country. No idea why Battleship did so well overseas because it’s just awful. Same thing happened with American Pie Reunion.

  2. it shocked me as well how well it did here as i thought it was one of the most brain dead films i have ever seen and a insult to anybody who even dared to go in it with any kind of brain cell
