UK Box Office Top 10

 

The UK box office top 10 is starting to show signs of a bit of a change with movies that have been in the chart for month’s now starting to leave and this is the case with last weeks number 1 as the Spider-man couldn’t hold on to the top spot for more than a week with Ice Age 4: Continental Drift taking it’s throne.

3 new films graced this weeks chart, first off going in at number 5 was bollywood film Cocktail (not a remake of the 80’s film with Tom Cruise), doing better by hitting the number 4 spot is a surprise entry for Seeking a Friend for the end of the World however the highest new entry went to stripper drama Magic Mike which went in at number 3 taking just over £2.5 million.

New Release – Their is only 1 film out this week and that’s the return of the bat in The Dark Knight Rises.

  1. Wait, Ice Age 4 overtook Spider-Man in its SECOND week?! Ouch! It’s beating Spider-Man in the U.S. at the moment, but only because Ice Age 4 was just released here.

  2. to be technical this is it’s 3rd week in the UK as it came out 2 weeks ago in Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland, in England and Wales it had 2 weekends of previews
