US box office top 10

Well it seems that comedy movie Identity Theft could only hold on to the top spot for one week, as one of this weeks new entries has gone and taken it’s place by extreme force.

Four new films graced this weeks chart, first off going in at a low number six was Beautiful Creatures, doing better by hitting the number four spot was animated film Escape from Planet Earth.  Into the top three and the next new entry went to Safe Haven.  This weeks highest new entry though and the new number one went to Bruce Willis sequel A Good Day to Die Hard.

7. Side Effects – $6,307,000 – $19,128,000

5. Warm Bodies – $9,000,000 – $50,221,000

4. Escape from Planet Earth – (NE) -$16.066,000 – $16,066,000

Next week sees two big movies released to try and break into the top ten, supernatural horror movie Dark Skies starring Keri Russel, and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson stars in thriller Snitch which is based on a true story about a father who goes undercover to infiltrate a drug cartel to save his son from prison.
