Last weeks number 1 Identity Theft is no longer reigning supreme at the top of the chart thanks to one of this weeks new entries.

3 new films graced this weeks chart, first off going in at number 4 was horror sequel The Last Exorcism 2, doing better by breaking into the top 3 was 21 and Over.  This weeks highest new entry though and  new number 1 went to action adventure film Jack the Giant Slayer, it’s not all good new for the film though as it only took under $29 million on a budget of $195 million.

10. Dark Skies – $3,556,000 – $13,453,000

9. A Good Day to Die Hard – $4,500,000 – $59,624,000

8. Silver Lining Playbook – $5,941,000 – $115,521,000

7. Escape from Planet Earth – $6,276,000 – $43,213,000

6. Safe Haven – $6,300,000 – $57,093,000

5. Snitch – $7,700,000 – $24,410,000

4. Last Exorcism 2 – (NE) – $8,030,000

3. 21 and Over – (NE) – $9,000,000

2. Identity Theft – $9.706,000 – $107,433,000

1. Jack the Giant Killer – (NE) – $28,010,000

New Releases – only 2 new films are on offer this week, first off is thriller Dead Man Down.  The only other new film of the week and probably the one that will go into the number 1 spot is action adventure OZ the Great and Powerful.
