US box office top 10

Well the time has come for OZ the Great and Powerful to give up his reign at the top of the chart and give way to one of this weeks new entries.

3 new films entered this weeks chart, first off going in at number 5 was comedy drama Admission.  Going into the top 3 and hitting the heights of the number 2 spot was thriller Olympus Has Fallen, this weeks highest new entry and the new number 1 went to animated film The Croods.

10. Snitch – $1,930,000 – $40,343,000

9. Identity Thief – $2,545,000 – $127,727,000

8. Jack the Giant Killer – $2,965,000 – $59,052,000

7. Incredible Burt Wonderstone – $4,275,000 – $17,365,000

6. Spring Breakers – $5,000,000 – $5,407,000

5. Admission – (NE) – $6,446,000

4. The Call – $8,700,000 – $30,904,000

3. OZ The Great and Powerful – $22,031,000 – $177,559,000

2. Olympus Has Fallen – (NE) – $30,500,000

1. The Croods – (NE) – $44,700,000

New Releases – it’s a week of big releases this week and you have 3 of them to choose from.  First off is comedy film with one of the biggest titles ever, Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confession of a Marriage Counselor.  Also on offer is huge action film G.I Joe: Retaliation and action thriller The Host.
