US box office top 10

Well last weeks number 1 GI Joe Retaliation could only hold on to the top spot for one week as one of this weeks new entries has gone and scared the pants off it.

Only 2 new films went into the top 10 this week.  First off going in at number 4 was the 3D re-release of Jurassic Park.  This weeks highest new entry and the new number 1 went to horror film Evil Dead.

9. The Call – $3,500,000 – $45,481,000

8. The Host – $5,239,000 – $19,665,000

7. OZ The Great and Powerful – $8,171,000 – $212,767,000

6. Tyler Perry Temptations – $10,000,000 – $38,383,000

5. Olympus Has Fallen – $10,042,000 – $71,116,000

4. Jurassic Park 3D – (NE) – $18,247,000

3. The Croods – $21,100,000 – $125,800,000

2. GI Joe Retaliation – $21,100,000 – $86,663,000

1. Evil Dead – (NE) – $26,000,000

New Releases – When it comes to new films this week has to be one of the weakest of the year.  Only 2 new films are on offer, firstly you have the fifth in the comedy spoof series with Scary Movie 5 and your only other choice is sports drama 42.
