Baseball drama 42 did a fantastic job of going straight into the number 1 spot however with the release of a big film starring Tom Cruise it just couldn’t hold it’s weight, so now it has found itself in the runner up position.

Only 1 new film managed to get into this weeks top 10 and that was the Tom Cruise Sci-Fi action drama Oblivion which managed to hit the top spot in it’s debut weekend.  The film managed a descent $38 million and it might find itself on the top of the tree next week as only two new films will be trying to take it’s place, romantic comedy The Big Wedding and action film Pain and Gain starring Mark Wahlberg and directed by Michael Bay.
