US box office top 10
This weeks top 10 has had a nice bit of a shake up, this means that last weeks number 1, Star Trek Into Darkness no longer rules the chart, it now finds itself at the number 3 spot.
3 new films made there way into this weeks top 10. First off going in at a low number 4 was animated film Epic from the studio that brought us the Ice Age Series. Hitting the number 2 spot was the 3rd and final film in the Hangover series with Hangover Part 3, now you would think that the studio would be happy with this taking $42 million in it’s opening weekend however this is $43 million less than part 2 in the series and this is the most expensive Hangover film costing $103 million to make. This weeks highest new entry and the new number 1 went to Fast and Furious 6 taking just under the $100 million mark.
Next week see’s two new films trying to get into the chart, Sci-Fi action film After Earth and thriller Now You See Me.
