Last weeks number 1 Fast and Furious 6 wasn’t fast or furious enough to hold on to the top spot for more than one week as it had stiff competition from 2 new big films and one of them managed to take it’s place.

3 new films went into the top 10, first off going in at a surprising number 7 was small British horror film The Moth Diaries.  Into the top 3 and at number 3 was animated film Epic which hasn’t done as well as people would of expected.  This weeks highest new entry went to the final outing for the wolfpack in The Hangover 3, like the release in the US the film as really under preformed as the second film in the series managed to take more than £10 million in it’s opening weekend, part 3 only managed to take just under £6 million, £4 million less than the last one in the series.

New Releases – It’s another one of those small weeks for new release, just enough time for you to take a deep breath before the big releases surface again.  So the films on offer this week are comedy movie The Big Wedding, thriller The Purge and horror film from Neil Jordan, Byzantium.
