So those monsters have been knocked off the top spot as Monsters University is no longer reigning supreme as the chart leader thanks to another animated film knocking it off the top spot.

Three new films entered this weeks chart, first off going in at number eight was comedy film Kevin Hart: Let me Explain.  Into the top three and hitting the number two spot was The Lone Ranger however the takings for the film are not that strong as it failed to get past the $50 million mark on a budget of over $200 million.  The highest new entry and the new number one went to Gru and his Minions with Despicable Me 2.
