Last week i said that it was the lowest takings weeks of the year, well low and behold this week has gone and beaten that, in fact none of the movies managed to get past the £1 million mark, this is the first time it has happened since the middle of 2012.

There wasn’t much of a challenge from any of the new films this week on last weeks number one, Prisoners, as it has managed to hold on to the top spot for it’s third week.

Two new films went into the lower end of this weeks chart, first off going in at number seven was Le Week End, the highest new entry went to the Fifth Estate which only managed to go into the number six spot.

New Releases – Finally a few films that will shake up next weeks top 10, firstly you have drama Captain Phillips, your next choice is action thriller Escape Plan and your final film on offer is animated film Turbo.
