US box office top 10 – W/E 24/11/13

Well it seems that Thor had no chance whatsoever when he took on one of this weeks new entries as he has been beaten into a little pulp and finds himself at the number two spot.

Two new films went into this chart, first off going in at number four was comedy film Delivery Man.  This weeks highest new entry and the new number one went to the second in the hunger games films with The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.  The film has become the 7th highest grossing debut film of all time taking just over $160 million and the highest grossing debut film of all time that was released in November.

New Releases – Not very much when it comes to new films this week however if you are after something new then you have musical Black Nativity and action thriller Homefront to choose from.

8. Gravity – $3,305,000 – $245,503,000

7. Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa – $3,450,000 – $95,451,000

6. Last Vegas – $4,400,000 – $53,926,000

5. Free Birds – $5,300,000 – $48,594,000

4. Delivery Man – (NE) – $8,215,000

3. The Best Man Holiday – $12,522,000 – $50,391,000

2. Thor: The Dark World – $14,117,000 – $167,837,000

1. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire – (NE) – $161,125,000
