UK box office top 10 – W/E 01/09/14

Despite a plethora of new films out this weeks nothing could move Lucy from the top spot, the film spends it’s second week at number one and it’s not far off the £10 million mark.

New films that made it into this weeks chart included horror film As Above,So Below at number eight, romantic drama If I stay going in at number six, graphic noir sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For at number four and buddy comedy cop movie Let’s be Cops which hit the number two spot, closely missing out on the top of the chart.

Upcoming – It’s another week of low brow films with none of them having a big punch to them, if you do want to see something new then you have raunchy comedy Sex Tape, drama Before i go to Sleep, sinister thriller in The Guest and the second drama of the week in The Hundred-Foot Journey.

US Chart

Nothing much has changed with this weeks US chart as the top two movies, Guardians of the Galaxy and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had very little competition from any new films, in fact i wouldn’t be surprised if they stay in the same position next week as only one main release is out.

The only new film to make it’s way into the top five was horror film As Above, so Below which went in at number five.

5. As Above, So Below – (NE)

4. Let’s Be Cops

3. If I Stay

2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

1. Guardians of the Galaxy
