Nothing seems to be able to move The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel off the top of the chart no matter how much each film tries as it spends it’s third and probably final week at number one.

It was a very quiet week for new films with only two entering this weeks chart, firstly going in at number four was war drama Suite Francaise. The highest new entry of the week went to the latest Liam neeson thriller Run All Night which managed to find it’s way into the number two spot despite some very below average reviews.

Upcoming – This week see’s an insane amount of new films with something for nearly everybody, on offer is the latest animated adventure from Dreamworks with Home, the second part of the Divergent franchise with Insurgent, quirky and grisly comedy The Voices, the latest beautiful animated film from Studio Ghibli with The Tale of Princess Kaguya, Jason Statham stars in thriller Wild Card, Sean Penn produces and stars in action thriller The Gunman, horror with Dark Summer and Canne winning drama in Mommy.

  1. Marigold Hotel was always going to perform strongly here in the UK. It’s like a cosy old pair of carpet slippers for its target audience. The global box office of Kingsman has been particularly pleasing. It’s great to see a film doing so well from word of mouth. Very disappointed for Chappie. That’s looking like another step backwards for Neill Blomkamp. Hopefully he can strike back with an amazing Alien film.
