Watch Movies! – The Challenge

From 1982 comes this fantastic gem of a movie that YOU STILL CANNOT GET ON DVD! and it’s near impossible to find on VHS if you still have a player to watch it on! Directed by John Frankenheimer (Ronin), The Challenge (or Equals as it’s known in some countries) stars Scott Glenn as a man hired to recover a prized family heirloom, by one half of a Japanese family headed by two quarreling brothers. The prized posessions? A pair of Samurai Swords.

WARNING: THIS MOVIE IS RATED 15 IN THE UK AND ‘R’ IN THE U.S.

Not sure how this has been put up, but definately recommend that everyone catch this while they can!

Star Wars – Blu Ray Boxset Review

Star Wars: A New Hope was released when I was born, so it’s something I grew up with as a kid. Here at the Monday Movie Show, we’ve been looking over the set to give you a run down of what you get in the release. Read the rest of this entry

Watch Page Eight on BBC iPlayer

The political/thriller TV movie I’ve tweeted about a couple of times the past few days and mentioned on this week’s show is now available on the BBC iPlayer site through this link until Sunday 4th September. The movie stars Bill Nighy (Valkyrie) as a government intelligence analyst who is given a document with information that threatens to unravel the government with a political scandal. Also among the incredible cast are Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener), Michael Gambon (Layer Cake), Ewan Bremner (Trainspotting) and Ralph Fiennes (The English Patient).

Page Eight will also be released on DVD on September 5th.
