2016 Monday Movie Show Awards


It is that time of the year when you spend a lot of money on gifts that people are only interested in a few days, eat so much food you end off looking like a sumo wrestler before 2017 starts and you drink so much that you end off doing the perfect impression of Jack Sparrow from the Pirates series.

All of the above is true however we here at the Monday Movie Show have something even better at this time of the year, yes it’s our time to tell you what we think the best 10 and worst 10 films of 2016, we also throw out a few awards to the few who really did stand out in a sea of movie goodness.

Stuart’s 10 Best Films of 2012

What a interesting year it has been when it comes to the world of films, not only have i been a little bit more impressed with the world of the super heroes but French cinema has shown what it can produce.  Yes we have had some really stinkers released this year however this list will only concentrate on the cream of the crop, the best films that cinema has to offer and unlike last year my top 10 films wrote themselves this year.

So here is my top 10 films of the year and there might be one or two surprises in the list so please don’t shout at me.

Nathan’s 10 Best films of the year

Nathan (a.k.a. @Bouncybhall of our sister site The Lolocaust) is a good friend of the site who may be joining us as a permanent member of the Monday Movie Show early next year, as such, we thought it would be a good idea to get him in on the Christmas special, and he’s come up with his 10 best of the year:

I’ve thought long and hard about this and this list of ten films – in no particular order – represent the ten films I personally think were the best films that I SAW in 2011.
