On the first show of 2017 we take a nice easy approach with the year with not many films to reviews, in the cinema section we take a look at videogame to big screen adaptation of Assassins Creed, J.A.Bayona brings Patrick Ness acclaimed fantasy drama A Monster Calls to the big screen, Will Smith and a big cast star in drama Collateral Beauty and Martin Scorsese directs biblical drama Silence.

The only release in the home section of the show see’s Nicolas Cage and Willem Dafoe goes head to head in crime thriller Dog Eat Dog.

It is that time of the year when you spend a lot of money on gifts that people are only interested in a few days, eat so much food you end off looking like a sumo wrestler before 2017 starts and you drink so much that you end off doing the perfect impression of Jack Sparrow from the Pirates series.

All of the above is true however we here at the Monday Movie Show have something even better at this time of the year, yes it’s our time to tell you what we think the best 10 and worst 10 films of 2016, we also throw out a few awards to the few who really did stand out in a sea of movie goodness.

On the final normal show of 2016 we take a look at probably the biggest cinema release of the year in the form of the first Stars Wars spin off, Rogue One.
