If you went to the cinema to the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo you would of seen this amazing opening sequence if not click play and watch one of the weirdest but brilliant opening sequences of a movie i have seen in a while

US Box Office Top 10: 6-8/01

This is the first US box office top 10 that we at the Monday Movie Show have done of 2012 and it’s a really good one to kick things off even though there was only 1 new entry but that film went straight into the number 1 spot.

Last weeks number 1 film and the film to kick off the US box office top 10 of 2012 could not hold on to the number 1 spot being knocked off by the first new horror film of the year the Devil Inside which managed to do much better than was thought of it despite getting some really bad reviews.

Bit of a mixed week for new entries next week, there are 4 films of note first off Mark Wahlberg’s new action film Contraband then there is comedy musical Joyful Noise, thirdly hot on the heels of the 3D release of the Lion King we have Beauty and the Beast and finally is horror film from Xavier Gens (Frontier) The Divide.

US Top 10 16-18/2011

Even though New Years Eve came early last week it couldn’t stay at the number 1 spot as that famous detective Sherlock Holmes managed to piece together the clues to knock it off the top spot.

There were a total of 3 new entries in the chart this week and they make up the top 3, going in at a low number 3 due to the fact it only opened in 425 screens (goes on full general release on Wednesday) is Mission Impossible:Ghost Protocol, doing better by going in at number 2 was the new Chipmunks film Chipwrecked however it was Sherlock Holms a Game of Shadows that found it’s way to the number 1 spot.
