On the next Monday Movie Show (24/11/14)

Coming up on this weeks show, in the cinema section it’s time for Katness to fight back as she becomes the symbol of the rebellion in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and Tommy Lee Jones stars along side Hilary Swank in drama The Homesman.  In the home release section we take at the biggest bunch of misfits in the known galaxy however they are the only ones who can save us in Guardians of the Galaxy, Ceaser has to not only protect his kind but also fight for his ultimate freedom in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and the videogame bullet loving witch makes her movie debut in Bayonetta: Bloody Fate, plus as usual our TV movie of the week, the latest movie news, UK box office top 10 & DVD/Blu-Ray top 10.

Box office top 10 – W/E 29/09/14

The box office top 10 can be a bit of strange place, one week we have no new entries too weeks that one film manages to stay on the top of the chart forever, however this week has managed to throw up something interesting in the form of a live event taking the top spot in the form of Billy Elliot: The Musical Live.

Other new entries in this weeks top 10 went to comedy drama What we did on our holiday going in at number four and dark thriller the Equalizer hitting the number two spot.

Upcoming – a bit of a big week when it comes to new films as four movies will be battling there way to secure a high place in the chart.  On offer is comedy horror Life After Beth, action horror Dracula Untold, drama from David Fincher in the form of Gone Girl and family adventure film Dolphin Tale 2.

US Chart

Even though the Equalizer failed to make to the top of the chart in the UK in the US it managed just that feat knocking last weeks number one the Maze Runner of the top.

The only other new entry in this weeks top five and the top 10 went to animated adventure the Boxtrolls which could only manage to go in at a low number three.

Coming up on this weeks show, in the cinema section we take a look at the adventures of Star Lord, Gamora, Drax, Groot and Rocket as they become Guardians of the Galaxy and animated adventure that’s a bit nut’s in The Nut Job.  In the home release section Blu and his family return for a second adventure in Rio 2, Jack O’Connell prison in Starred Up, Jean Claude Van Damm has to put up with a unruly group of people in Welcome to the Jungle, drama with Labor Day, Kelan Lutz stars in action film The Legend of Hercules, horror film with Almost Human and drama with The Double, plus as usual our TV movie of the week, the latest movie news, UK box office top 10 & DVD/Blu-Ray top 10.

Impressions – Looks a lot of fun, it feels more like the delinquent kid of the Marvel universe and i think it needs that instead of the usual fare that we have been getting.
