US box office top 10 – W/E 01/06/14

Well the might of the X-Men could not hold of Disney’s Maleficent off the top spot as the house of mouse film finds it’s way straight into the number one spot.

In slightly more bad news for the X-Men, Day’s of Future Past also had the biggest drop off of any movie this week taking 64.1% less than it did on it’s debut week.

The only other new film in this weeks chart went to comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West which went in at number three, this is not good news for Seth MacFarlane as his previous film Ted went straight into the number 1 spot and took nearly 3 times the amount of A Million Ways.

New Releases – A couple of new films are on offer this week in the for of Sci-Fi action film Edge of Tomorrow starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt and drama The Fault in Our Stars.
