This weeks chart (W/E 09/11/15)

spectre

It’ll come as no surprise to hear that Spectre the latest James bond outing has managed to hold to the top spot for a second week in a row, what will surprise you though is that the film has become the highest grossing movie of the year at the UK box office despite only being out 14 days.

With Spectre still enticing a lot of people it will come as no surprise to hear that most of the new films that were trying to stop it failed badly, none more so than Kill Your Friends and He Named me Malala which failed to make a impact on the chart.

New films that did manage to get into the top 10 included comedy horror Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse which went in at number eight, cooking drama Burnt which hit the number five spot and romantic drama Brooklyn which went straight into the number three spot.

Upcoming – it’s doubtful that any of this weeks new films will provide much of a challenge on next weeks chart however if you are after something new then you have Michael Fassbender starring Steve Jobs, Maggie Smith stars in British comedy drama The Lady in the Van and Irish creature feature The Hallow.
