As was predicted Skyfall has managed to not only hold on to the top spot for a second week but has also broke another record with it taking more money over a 10 day period than any other film.

3 new films graced this weeks chart, first off going in at number 8 was French drama Rust and Bone starring Marion Cotillard, doing better however it has a extra 2 days over everything else was Fun Size which went into the number 6th spot.  This weeks highest new entry went to Silent Hill: Revelations 3D which went straight into the number 3 spot.

US Box Office Top 10

The top 10 has had it’s biggest shake up for a few weeks as last weeks number 1 Brave couldn’t hold on to the top spot for more than a week with a surprise entry at the top taking it’s throne.

4 new films graced this weeks chart, first off going in at number 10 was People Like Us, Tyler Perry’s latest film Madea’s Witness Protection hit the number 4 spot, going in at a high number 2 spot was stripper drama/comedy Magic Mike however the movie that has provided the biggest surprise of the week went to Ted with it going straight in at number 1 and taking more than double of what was expected of it.

10. People Like Us – (NE) – $4.306.000

9. Snow White and the Huntsman – $4.405.000 – $145.591.000

8. Moonrise Kingdom – $4.873.000 – $18.406.000

4. Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Witness Protection – (NE) – $26.350.000

3. Brave – $34.011.000 – $131.685.000

2. Magic Mike – (NE) – $39.155.000

1. Ted – (NE) – $54.100.000

New Releases – I predict that Ted will only be at number 1 for one week as The Amazing Spider-man should knock it off the top spot and i also predict that it should take just over $100 million.  You also have the pick of two other films the first one being another one of those 3D concert films this time with Katy Perry, your other choice of the week is violent drama/thriller Savages.

US Box Office Top 10

It seem’s that those animals from Madagascar could not hold on to the top spot for another week as a new animated film from the guy’s over at Pixar has knocked them off the top spot.

3 new films have managed to find there way into this weeks chart first off going in at number 10 was Seeking a Friend for the end of the World, doing better but nowhere near as good as what was expected of it was Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter hitting the number 3 spot, however it was Pixar’s new animated film Brave which went straight into the number 1 spot making it the 12th film in a row for Pixar going in at number 1.

10. Seeking a Friend for the end of the World – (NE) – $3.836.000

9. Men in Black 3 – $5.600.000 – $163.339.000

8. Marvels Avengers – $7.040.000 – $598.300.000

7. That’s My Boy – $7.900.000 – $28.180.000

6. Snow White and the Huntsman – $8.000.000 – $137.100.000

5. Rock of Ages – $8.000.000 – $28.763.000

4. Prometheus – $10.000.000 – $108.547.000

3. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter – (NE) – $16.500.000

2. Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted – $20.200.000 – $157.574.000

1. Brave – (NE) – $66.739.000

New Releases – If you like comedy then you are in really good hands with this weeks selection as 3 of the new releases are comedies.  First off is Magic Mike which is a stripper comedy/drama featuring my favourite person Channing Tatum, next up is Seth Macfarlane big screen directorial debut with comedy film Ted, the finally comedy out this week is another one from Tyler Perry with Tyler Perry’s: Madea’s Witness Protection.  One other film joins this weeks list in the form of drama People Like Us.
