Stuart’s 10 Best Films of 2012

What a interesting year it has been when it comes to the world of films, not only have i been a little bit more impressed with the world of the super heroes but French cinema has shown what it can produce.  Yes we have had some really stinkers released this year however this list will only concentrate on the cream of the crop, the best films that cinema has to offer and unlike last year my top 10 films wrote themselves this year.

So here is my top 10 films of the year and there might be one or two surprises in the list so please don’t shout at me.

Coming up this week (04/06/12)

Coming up on this weeks show we take a look at 2 cinema releases, first off is another take on the story of Snow White with Snow White and the Huntsman however this time Kristen Stewart is playing the lead role however the biggest release of the week goes to Ridley Scott return to Sci-Fi with Prometheus.  On Blu-Ray and DVD we take a look at Gerard Butler and Ralph Fiennes in Shakespeare Coriolanus, Seann Williams Scott in ice hockey comedy Goon, Noomi Rapace in horror/thriller Babycall, Australian drama centring around a Red Dog and animated film A Monster in Paris, plus as usual our look at the latest movie news and the UK Box Office and Blu-Ray/DVD top 10′s.

UK Box Office top 10 – 21/02

It seems that nothing could shake last weeks number 1 off the top spot even though the second place film gave it a good try.

The interesting thing about this weeks chart is that 3 films in last weeks top 10 made more this week than they did last week however it was oscar favourite The Artist which managed to find it’s way back into the top 10, the biggest surprise however was that there was only 1 new entry in the form of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance which managed to hit the number 3 spot.

New Releases – 3 films will be trying to get your cash so they can make it into next weeks top 10, first off is small Australian drama Red Dog, then we have gritty drama starring Woody Harrelson in the form of Rampart and finally we have Safe House starring Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington.
