After the events of the previous Marvel Studio movies (in particular Avengers: Age Of Ultron and the destruction of the city of Sokovia) the world has become very aware of those enhanced with super abilities and wary of the collateral damage left in the wake of such events. After a mission ends in disaster and the deaths of innocent bystanders, the United Nations agrees that independent heroes, or rather “vigilantes” should be held accountable for their actions and be forced to sign up to the Sokovian accords, a sort of registration for enhanced individuals who would then be under the command of the United Nations. First Impressions: This is looking to be a huge comic book summer of great movies, now all we need is a good looking trailer from Dredd and we’re set for an incredible comic book summer!
Marvel comics are known to a lot of people, be it directly or indirectly through other media, most people have heard of such characters as Spider-man or The Incredible Hulk, some of the most famous of their numerous characters licensed out by Marvel Studios to film companies like 20th Century Fox or Universal Studios. In 2004 the decision was made for Marvel Studios to begin making movies of their characters and financing them themselves. Iron Man, the first in the series, went on to be a success, proving that they could not only make a good movie, but a profitable one, and so the decision was made to make more movies featuring their characters.
