After the events of the first movie, super-heroes are now a regular appearance of New York, with many inspired by Kick-Ass to take up the mantle and patrol the city. Dave Lizewski (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) has hung up his Kick-Ass costume and left those days behind him, but hanging around with his friends Marty (Clark Duke) and Todd (Augustus Prew) watching television and news reports about the super-heroes, finds himself discontent and bored with living a normal life. Realising that Mindy Macready (Chloë Grace Moretz) continues to live her life as Hit-Girl, he asks her to team up with him and to train him so that he can be as good a fighter as her. Review: The Wolverine

At the movie’s opening, Logan (Hugh Jackman) now lives away from civilisation in the Alaskan wilderness. Constantly reminded by his dreams of the loss of Jean Grey (Famke Janssen), he isolates himself from anyone who could potentially be harmed by him or being around him. During an encounter with a group of hunters at a bar Logan is approached by Yukio (Rila Fukushimo), a woman in the employ of Yashida (Hal Yamanouchi), a man who Logan saved during world war II. Yukoi has been sent to find Logan and bring him to say goodbye to Yashida, who is close to death back in Japan. Read the rest of this entry
