Nothing seem’s to be able to beat the bat as The Dark Knight Rises has spent another week perched at the top of the chart even though one of this weeks new entries was tipped to try and give it a run for it’s money.

Only 2 new films made there way into the top 10, first new entry went to the 3rd in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid film’s this time they are suffering a Dog Day, however the highest new entry went to Total Recall which went in at number 2 however it didn’t preform as well as was hoped of it taking just $26 million in it’s opening weekend.

US Box Office Top 10

Nothing seem’s to be able to challenge the Dark Knight as he has managed to hold on to the top spot for a second week however their wasn’t much in his way.

2 New films graced the top 10 this week, first off hit the number 4 spot was the 4th in the Step up series with Step Up Revolution, however the highest new entry went to alien comedy film The Watch which could only manage to hit the number 3 spot by taking only $13 million.

US Box Office Top 10

As predicted last week in obvious form Ice Age could not hold on to the top spot for more than a week as the only new entry has not only just kicked it off the top spot but it has smashed it out of the water.

Only 1 new entry in this weeks chart and it could only be The Dark Knight Rises which has broken a record for taking the most any 2D film has taken in it’s début weekend.  One other little fact is that if you total up the amount that every film in the top 10 has taken apart from The Dark Knight Rises then you will come to a figure just over the $60 million, The Dark Knight Rises has managed to out sell the rest of the top 10 by just over $100 million extra.

10. Too Rome with Love – $1.420.891 – $11.107.993

9. Moonrise Kingdom – $1.831.471 – $36.087.959

3. The Amazing Spider-man – $10.887.111 – $228.611.425

2. Ice Age: Continental Drift – $20.416.978 – $88.840.284

1. The Dark Knight Rises – (NE) – $160.887.295

New Releases – Only a couple of new films will be trying to crack their way into next weeks top 10, first off is another dance film in the form of Step Up: Revolution and your second choice of the week is alien comedy film The Watch.  Their is 2 other little films you should keep a eye out for the first being sci-fi comedy Iron Sky and the very violent Killer Joe.

UK Box Office Top 10

The UK box office top 10 is starting to show signs of a bit of a change with movies that have been in the chart for month’s now starting to leave and this is the case with last weeks number 1 as the Spider-man couldn’t hold on to the top spot for more than a week with Ice Age 4: Continental Drift taking it’s throne.

3 new films graced this weeks chart, first off going in at number 5 was bollywood film Cocktail (not a remake of the 80’s film with Tom Cruise), doing better by hitting the number 4 spot is a surprise entry for Seeking a Friend for the end of the World however the highest new entry went to stripper drama Magic Mike which went in at number 3 taking just over £2.5 million.

4. Seeking a Friend for the end of the World – (NE) – £357.200

3. Magic Mike – (NE) – £2.651.015

2 . The Amazing Spider-Man – £3.905.474 – £18.847.761

1. Ice Age 4: Continental Drift – £10.087.052 – £13.051.881

New Release – Their is only 1 film out this week and that’s the return of the bat in The Dark Knight Rises.

US Box Office top 10

Not much has changed with this weeks chart apart from the top where last weeks number 1, The Amazing Spider-man has been knocked off it’s perch by the only new entry in the chart.

Like i said only 1 new film made it’s way into this weeks top 10 and that’s the return of the Ice Age series with Ice Age 4: Continental Drift however it didn’t do as well as expected of it with it not even going past the $50 million mark.

10. Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted – $3.500.000 – $203.732.000

9. Moonrise Kingdom – $3.662.000 – $32.427.000

8. Katy Perry: Part of me – $3.775.000 – $18.588.000

6. Savages – $8.735.000 – $31.466.000

5. Magic Mike – $9.030.000 – $91.850.000

4. Brave – $10.695.000 – $195.596.000

3. Ted – $22.147.000 – $158.993.000

2. The amazing Spider-man – $35.000.000 – $200.900.000

1. Ice Age 4: Continental Drift – (NE) – $46.000.000

New Releases – If Ice Age manages to hold on to the top spot next week then i’m never watching another film again as their is only 1 new film out this week and that’s The Dark Knight Rises.  My prediction for The Dark Knight Rises is that it will take more than $130 million in it’s first weekend.

UK Box Office Top 10

This weeks top 10 nearly looked the same as last weeks’ however Spider-Man has come along and given a injection of money into the chart thus making it the new number 1.

1. The Amazing Spider-Man – (NE) – £11.091.972

New Releases – A very strange week ahead when it comes to new films, we have 2 new release and 1 film that official get’s released in England and Wales.  First off the 2 new films for you too choose from are comedy/drama Seeking a Friend for the End of the World and a second comedy/drama with stripper film Magic Mike.  Ice Age 4: Continental Drift is your final choice this week as it get’s it’s official release in England and Wales after being released a few weeks a go in the other territories.

US Box Office Top 10

No doubt was cast over whether Ted could hold on to the top spot for more than a week as it was going up against one of this years biggest films and unfortunately one week was enough for the foul mouthed teddy bear.

3 new films graced this weeks chart, first off going in at a low number 8 was musical; documentary Katy Perry: Part of me, doing better than that and showing that Taylor Kitsch can act is Savages however it was that web slinger Spider-Man that went straight into number 1 with a few day’s extra haul over the rest of the new entries.

10. To Rome With Love – $3.502.000 – $5.621.000

5. Magic Mike – $15.610.000 – $72.797.000

4. Savages – (NE) – $16.162.000

3. Brave – $20.162.000 – $174.519.000

2. Ted – $32.593.000 – $120.240.000

1. The Amazing Spider-Man – (NE) – $140.000.000

New Releases – Only 1 film of any kind of note is out this week that will be trying it’s best too flush that spider down the toilet in the form of Ice Age 4: Continental Drift.
