UK Box Office Top 10 17/10

It was a interesting week for films however none of the new releases could knock last weeks number 1 Johnny English Reborn off the top spot even though there was stiff competition.

There were a total of 4 new entries in the top 10 first off the lowest of the new entries went to Dolphin Tale which could manage the number 7 spot, doing a little bit better but no where near what was expected of it was Footloose which only managed to dance it’s way to number 6 in the chart.

The second of the highest new entries went to Real Steel which punched it’s way to the number 4 spot however it was the Three Musketeers which managed the highest chart position of any of the new entries managing to swashbuckle it’s way to 3rd place.

10 – Drive – £178.230 – £2.392.812

9 – Don’t be Afraid of the Dark – £250.542 – £1.099.346

8 – Midnight in Paris – £396.584 – £1.283.525

7 – Dolphin Tale – (NE) – £429.140

6 – Footloose – (NE) – £460.271

5 – Tinker Tailor Solider Spy – £572.806 – £12.342.655

4 – Real Steel – (NE) – £1.337.491

3 – The Three Musketeers – (NE) – £1.461.251

2 – The Lion King 3D – £1.906.686

1 – Johnny English Reborn – £3.072.542 – £9.643.386

We have a interesting week when it comes to new releases and there are 4 films that will be trying to stir things up in next weeks chart.

The outside shot of the 4 is the very interesting looking We Need to Talk About Kevin, the second film of the 4 which has a better chance is the teen romantic comedy Monte Carlo, thirdly we have Steven Soderbergh new film Contagion which should get in the higher end of the top five, last but not least is Paranormal Activity 3 which should knock Johnny English off the top spot.
