Plot – A former Special Forces operative turned mercenary is subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers and adopts the alter ego Deadpool.
Impression – Marvel finally attempting something a little bit different instead of the cookie cutter films that we have been getting over the last few years.
This is probably one of the only Marvel films i’m actually looking forward to seeing, the only other movie that has peeked my interest from the studio is Doctor Strange.
We will find out in 2016 if Deadpool turns out to be as entertaining as the trailer or as annoying as the character might get.
Cult filmmakers and familiar genre faces come together to bring you the ultimate Halloween film event with horror anthology TALES OF HALLOWEEN.
A suburban American town is terrorized by ghouls, aliens, and killers on one Halloween night.
With directors including Neil Marshall (The Descent), Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw 2,3 and 4), Luck McGee (The Woman) and more, this looks like a anthology horror movie that will have something for everyone.
They are really difficult to pull off as you know a few of the story’s will be pretty bad however if done right it can be entertaining enough to forgive it’s faults
Synopsis – Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
Thoughts – No matter what i say or think this is going to put bums on seats when it’s released next March.
It’s two of the biggest superhero’s going toe-to-toe with each other, what more do you want.
Thank you to Warner Bros UK for giving us this fantastic trailer
Newlywed couple Ted and Tami-Lynn want to have a baby, but in order to qualify to be a parent, Ted will have to prove he’s a person in a court of law.
Impressions – While Seth MacFarlane hit it out of the park with the first Ted film he stumbled with his follow up, A Million Ways to Die in the West, this however looks like MacFarlane back to his rude, crude and smutty ways.
Oh and the final joke in the trailer made me laugh like a little girl, more than any comedy has this year so far.
Sinister 2, the follow up to the 2012 horror hit, is in UK cinemas August 21, 2015. In the aftermath of the shocking events in Sinister, a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon) and her 9-year-old twin sons find themselves in a rural house marked for death.
First Impressions: I really liked Sinister and this looks pretty much the same as before, which isn’t a bad thing, the only difference is that the director Ciaran Foy wants to show the evil Buhguul more.
*thanks to Entertainment one for the trailer
A prequel set before the haunting of the Lambert family that reveals how gifted psychic Elise Rainier reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity.
Impression – I initially didn’t like the second film in the series however after viewing it a second time i thought it was better than i originally thought, now with James Wan stepping away from the series and handing duties on to Leigh Whannell, the writter and one of the stars of the previous 2 films, the series looks likes it’s going back to it’s origins of being extremely creepy with hints of dark humor. I’m now actually looking forward to the film which is set for a June 5th release date
While video chatting one night, six high school friends receive a Skype message from a classmate who killed herself exactly one year ago. A first they think it’s a prank, but when the girl starts revealing the friends’ darkest secrets, they realize they are dealing with something out of this world, something that wants them dead. Told entirely from a young girl’s computer desktop, CYBERNATURAL redefines ‘found footage’ for a new generation of teens.
Impressions: Early indications on this film are very positive and from the trailer it looks like a interesting movie, yes this kind of thing has been done before yet when you use things like Skype it makes it feel more real.
It’ll be interesting to see if the film is any good when it does get released
In the far reaches of space, an American pilot named Peter Quill finds himself the object of a manhunt after stealing an orb coveted by the villainous Ronan.
Impressions – Looks a lot of fun, it feels more like the delinquent kid of the Marvel universe and i think it needs that instead of the usual fare that we have been getting.
NY police officer Ralph Sarchie (Eric Bana), investigates a series of crimes. He joins forces with an unconventional priest (Edgar Ramirez), schooled in the rituals of exorcism, to combat the possessions that are terrorizing their city.
Impressions: I like the look of this, Scott Derrickson who directed Sinister and The Exorcism of Emily Rose seems to know what he is doing when it comes to the world of the creepy horror film, this looks like it’s following suit but on more of a grander scale. It’s also nice to see Eric Bana in a horror movie
