US box office top 10

Well it seems like the Croods could only hold on to the top spot for just 1 week as it has fallen prey to one of this weeks new films.

3 new films graced this weeks top 10, first off coming in at a lower than expected number 6 was sci-fi drama/adventure The Host, hitting the number 3 spot and with possible one of the longest titles ever was comedy film Tyler Perry’s Temptations: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.  This weeks highest new entry and new number 1 went to action sequel G.I Joe: Retaliation.

New Releases – only 2 new films out this week, well one if you want to be exact and one re-release in 3D.  Your first choice of the week is the 3D re-release of Jurrasic Park.  This weeks only new release of any note is horror reboot and the movie that i am most looking forward to is Evil Dead

US Box Office Top 10

It seem’s that those animals from Madagascar could not hold on to the top spot for another week as a new animated film from the guy’s over at Pixar has knocked them off the top spot.

3 new films have managed to find there way into this weeks chart first off going in at number 10 was Seeking a Friend for the end of the World, doing better but nowhere near as good as what was expected of it was Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter hitting the number 3 spot, however it was Pixar’s new animated film Brave which went straight into the number 1 spot making it the 12th film in a row for Pixar going in at number 1.

New Releases – If you like comedy then you are in really good hands with this weeks selection as 3 of the new releases are comedies.  First off is Magic Mike which is a stripper comedy/drama featuring my favourite person Channing Tatum, next up is Seth Macfarlane big screen directorial debut with comedy film Ted, the finally comedy out this week is another one from Tyler Perry with Tyler Perry’s: Madea’s Witness Protection.  One other film joins this weeks list in the form of drama People Like Us.

US Box Office Top 10 – 02-04/03

Last weeks number 1 film Act of Valor couldn’t hold on to the top spot for more than 1 week due to one of this weeks new entries blowing it out of the water.

There was only 2 new entries in this weeks chart however they have taken over the top 2 spot’s, firstly going in at number 2 is the latest comedy from Todd Philips (The Hangover) Project X however blowing everything out of the water by nearly taking more than every movie in the top 10 combined was Dr Seuss’ The Lorax.

New Releases – 3 films will be trying to get into next weeks chart, first off is comedy/drama A Thousand Words, then we have horror remake The Silent House starring Elizabeth Olsen and finally the movie that we know that will knock Dr Seuss’ off the top spot is John Carter.

Last week Safe House managed to claw the top spot for itself however it couldn’t hold on to the top spot for more than 1 week as one of this weeks new entries has taken the position for itself.

4 new films graced the top 10 this week, first off going in at number 9 was thriller Gone, hitting one spot higher at number 8 was comedy Wanderlust from the director of Role Model’s, hitting the number 2 spot is Tyler Perry’s Good Deed’s however it was drama Act of Valor that went straight into the number 1 spot and also taking the highest new entry award.
