Review: Now You See Me

Four magicians from all walks of life are sent a tarot card with a date, time, and an address in New York for them to turn up to at the same time. The four include J. Daniel Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg) – a street magic performer, Merritt McKinney (Woody Harrelson) – a mentalist who hustles holidaymakers in Vegas, Henley Reeves (Isla Fisher) – a one girl magician performing magic tricks at a club, and Jack Wilder (Dave Franco) – a street pickpocket that uses magic as his means of distracting potential targets. Arriving at an empty and dis-used apartment, they find blueprints for an elaborate trick that they perform on stage one year later in Vegas thanks to their benefactor Arthur Tressler (Michael Caine). Review: The Hunger Games

Set in a post-apocalyptic future, America has now become a country split into 12 districts that are ruled by the city of Capitol. Each year, as a reminder to the districts of their place after previous attempts at an uprising, one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 are chosen from each district to compete in the hunger games, a televised contest where each of the 24 entrants must fight to the death until only one remains victorious. UK Box Office top 10 – 21/02

It seems that nothing could shake last weeks number 1 off the top spot even though the second place film gave it a good try.

The interesting thing about this weeks chart is that 3 films in last weeks top 10 made more this week than they did last week however it was oscar favourite The Artist which managed to find it’s way back into the top 10, the biggest surprise however was that there was only 1 new entry in the form of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance which managed to hit the number 3 spot.

New Releases – 3 films will be trying to get your cash so they can make it into next weeks top 10, first off is small Australian drama Red Dog, then we have gritty drama starring Woody Harrelson in the form of Rampart and finally we have Safe House starring Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington.
