US Box Office Top 10 – 23-25/03/12

Last weeks number 1 21 Jump Street could only keep hold of the top spot for only 1 week as the biggest film of the year so far has gone and knocked it off the top spot.

There was 2 new entries into this weeks top 10, first off going in at number 8 was drama October Baby however going in at the number 1 spot and taking one of the biggest amount of money in a very long time was The Hunger Games.

9 – Safe House – $1.400.000 – $122.600.000

8 – October Baby – (NE) – $1.718.000

7 – A Thousand Words – $1.925.000 – $14.926.000

6 – Project X – $1.950.000 – $51.752.000

5 – Act of Valor – $2.062.000 – $65.942.000

4 – John Carter – $5.014.000 – $62.347.000

3 – Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax – $13.100.000 – $177.300.000

2 – 21 Jump Street – $21.300.000 – $71.051.000

1 – The Hunger Games – (NE) – $155.000.000

New Releases – there are 4 new films out this week, 2 small films and 2 very big ones, first off the small 2 films in the shape of comedy with Seann Williams Scott in Goon and horror film Intruders.  On to the 2 big releases, first off is the first film out this year that’s about Snow White in the form of Mirror Mirror and the second film should do well but i don’t think will go in at number 1 is Wrath of the Titans.
